Developing the IPCC's Disability Equality Scheme
In March and April 2006 the IPCC met with 47 organisations run by and representing
disabled people from across England and Wales.
The result of this consultation activity was the development of a draft Disability
Equality Scheme which entered a 3-month period of public consultation on 12 July 2006. This draft
can be seen below:
The Draft scheme was available in alternative formats (including
Braille, audio CD, cassette and digital talking book).
The draft scheme was replaced by the
current version of the Disability Equality Scheme
which was published on 4 December 2006.
