Police Complaints Information Bulletins for North region forces
Main Content
The Police Complaints Information Bulletins show data for individual police forces against a number of indicators that have been agreed and tested with forces and policing organisations – for example, the average number of days taken to finalise a complaint case. These Bulletins also compare a force’s data with their Most Similar Force average* and with the national average. The Bulletins are produced after the end of each quarter** - please use the links below to access the latest Police Complaints Information Bulletins for each police force in this region. Where there are two links for a force, the second link will be to commentary supplied by the force.
When the IPCC produces the force Bulletins, it invites forces to provide commentary for the information contained in the Bulletins. For example, a force may wish to explain why the figures for their force are different to their most similar force average or to the national result. There may be a number of reasons for differences: for example, changes in resources to handle complaints or changes in how complaints are being managed. The commentary provided by forces helps to give some context to the information in the Bulletins and provides details of any specific work a force may be doing to improve the way they handle complaints.
Please note that where forces have raised issues or queries relating to specific IPCC practices, these matters are being dealt with at a local level through discussions between IPCC staff and the force concerned.
