Association of Police Authorities
The APA represents and supports the police authorities of England, Wales and Northern Ireland, nationally and locally.
Association of Chief Police Officers
ACPO is the association responsible for working on developing police policies on behalf of all of the service as a whole.
Police Support Bodies
The Police Superintendents' Association of England & Wales
This association is the representative body of the superintending ranks of police forces in England and Wales.
Police Federation
The Police Federation is the representative body in England and Wales for all police officers up to and including the rank of Chief Inspector.

Union that represents police staff in the UK apart from Northern Ireland and the Metropolitan Police
National Black Police Association
The NBPA represents 40 Black Police Associations around the UK. It sits on government committees and contributes nationally to policy on policing as an independent charitable organisation.
British Association for Women in Policing
This association helps to enchance the role and understanding of women employed in the UK police service.
Gay Police Association
The GPA works towards equal opportunites for, and offers support to, lesbian and gay police service employees. It also works to promote better relations between the police service and the lesbian and gay community.

The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission
The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) is an independent statutory body, established by the Garda Síochána Act, 2005. This Act provides for the establishment, powers and functions of GSOC. GSOC is responsible for receiving and dealing with complaints made by members of the public concerning the conduct of members of the Garda Síochána (the Irish Police Force) and has been operational since 9 May 2007.
Police Ombudsman of Northern Ireland
The Police Ombudsman of Northern Ireland provide an independent, impartial police complaints system for the people and police under the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 1998 and 2000.
