The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is responsible for the way certain complaints about the police, Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) , HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and UK Border Agency (UKBA) staff are handled in England and Wales.

We are also responsible for considering appeals made by members of the public about their complaints. If you have made a complaint  and you are not happy with the way it has been handled you may be able to appeal to the IPCC. Please read our information about making an appeal to ensure that you complete the correct appeal form to avoid a delay with in process.

PLEASE NOTE:

This facility is not monitored on a 24 hour, 7 days a week basis. Information received will be read and responded to during office hours 9.00 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday (not including bank holidays).
