IPCC Statutory Guidance leafletThe IPCC’s Statutory Guidance Making the new complaints system work better for police forces came into effect on Thursday 1 December 2005.

This guidance sets out standards expected of police forces and the IPCC in handling complaints. This will ensure that people's complaints against the police are handled efficiently and effectively
