Publication of Review into the handling of allegations of criminal behaviour by police (pdf 462k)
On 11 January 2007 the inspectorates for the Crown Prosecution Service and the police (HMCPSI and HMIC) published their joint thematic report into the handling of cases involving criminal conduct by a person serving with the police.
The review considered CPS handling of such cases including the relationships between CPS areas, police and IPCC and the timeliness and quality of case handling.  A number of IPCC staff and Commissioners were engaged in the review.

Victoria Climbie Inquiry

Six Metropolitan Police Service officers faced formal misconduct charges, following our final decision on the inquiry into Brent and Haringey police’s Child Protection Teams’ responses to incidents concerning Victoria Climbie prior to her death.
