How we check up on ourselves

Impact Assessment of new IPCC policies is integrated into existing stages of developing IPCC policies. The Senior Executive Team has taken responsibility for making sure these procedures are followed.  

2 steps of Impact Assessment

1. Screening of policies to determine if they are relevant to race equality – takes place the first time a policy is proposed
2. Where relevant, assessing the policy for its impact on eliminating race discrimination, promoting equal opportunities, and promoting good relations between people of different ethnic groups – takes place as part of developing the policy, before it is finalised and implemented.
