Deaths during or following police contact
These statistics provides details of the deaths reported on by the IPCC in each financial year, and also presents figures on those suicides following release from police custody which were reported to the IPCC.
In addition, the reports outline work the IPCC is currently doing in these areas.

IPCC related research
The IPCC is currently undertaking a retrospective study drawing on findings from completed investigation reports into deaths during or following police custody. The study will seek to identify trends, key issues and areas for learning over a number of years.
