The Independent Police Complaints Commission has begun an investigation after two men died in a road traffic incident in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester.
The two men, who are believed to be aged in their early 20s, were in a silver VW Polo which overturned and collided with a tree on Bury Road, Radcliffe at around 3.30am today (Sunday 2 December 2012).
The car had been spotted by a Greater Manchester Police car shortly before the collision. The police car had activated its emergency warning equipment to pursue the car.
The incident was referred to the IPCC and investigators were deployed to the scene. An independent investigation has now begun.
The two men have not been formally identified yet.
