West Midlands Police officer summonsed to face charge of forgery
Main Content
15 June 2012
A West Midlands Police officer has been summonsed to appear before Leamington Spa Magistrates’ Court to face a charge of forgery.
Pc Stuart Williams, 37, is due to appear at the court on Wednesday 20 June 2012. The charge follows an investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission and a decision to prosecute the officer by the Crown Prosecution Service.
The charge relates to an allegation that a woman’s report of harassment by her ex-partner in 2010 was retracted without the woman’s knowledge.
