Notes for editors

The IPCC issued the following update earlier today:

IPCC Investigation Update: Operation Tay

The Independent Police Complaints Commission can confirm that Devon and Cornwall Constabulary’s interim director of finance and resources will face a disciplinary panel on allegations arising from the investigation which may amount to gross misconduct.

This is as a result of the IPCC managed investigation into allegations and complaints surrounding the introduction of a pay and grading scheme following a job evaluation exercise.

It would be inappropriate to say anything further at this stage, but once disciplinary proceedings have concluded the IPCC will publish as much information about the investigation as it can.
